The”Objects Cherished by the Kikkawa clan” exhibition

The “Objects Cherished by the Kikkawa clan” exhibition opens today! This exhibition focuses on art and craft items, showcasing historical materials that the Kikkawa clan has carefully preserved to this day, all cherished possessions. There are items whose artists are unknown but show signs of use, as well as works acquired by the head of the Yoshikawa family. We hope you will take this opportunity to see them.

We are also selling clear files featuring Kano Osanobu’s “Fujo-yuraku-zu ,” (A depiction of the pleasure quarters of Kyoto at that time.
) which is being exhibited for the first time. Only 30 copies are available, so please purchase yours early! On May 18th, “International Museum Day,” we will be giving away postcards of Kitsunegasaki to all visitors.
